~With PCSD using a hybrid learning model this school year, we are here to help support your child at FCCNS. MB and Amy will also be here full time to help in any way they can. We have a separate area for students that need to be online for classes at any given time. The expectation is that students will bring in their own fully charged lap top and headphones to use for remote learning here at the center. If you have any specific needs or questions, please reach out to us.

~We hope you will join FCCNS in supporting our local families and the Ronald McDonald House by simply collecting soda tabs, soup tab, etc. There are also "houses" in each classroom and in the office. It is a very easy way to give back to our community and helping families who's children are receiving medical care. This program will run all year long and each tab counts! Thanks so much for your support!
~We are pleased to announce FCCNS was awarded
Pathways National Accreditation by Children’s Institute, an affiliate of the
University of Rochester on Monday August 6th, 2018.
FCCNS has successfully completed a rigorous
process to meet or exceed 500 criteria, which are above what is required by the
State of New York Office of Children and Family Services in order for centers
to operate. The process of accreditation
is extensive, evaluating parent and staff satisfaction, and program quality,
including the facilities, qualifications of staff and leadership, and record
keeping. Accredited centers deliver
programming of the highest quality for young children.
Children’s Institute, the
accrediting organization, is a national not-for-profit organization that works
to improve the lives of children by strengthening their social and emotional
health. Through sound research and evaluation, the
organization develops and promotes effective prevention and early intervention
programs, materials and best practices for children, families, schools and
communities. Children's Institute is
affiliated with the University
of Rochester and has
served the community for over 50 years.
The goal of a
Pathways Accreditation is to help ensure that children receive the benefits of
appropriate, joyful experiences and are cared for in a safe, high quality early
education and care setting. FCCNS will
continue to make this a priority for our center and for our children. We thank all the staff members and families
who helped over the past year as we worked to make this a reality for our
center.
