The Faith Lutheran Church Mission Board is teaming up with Risen Christ Lutheran Church in Fairport and other area Lutheran churches to help collect relief items for Haiti. This is being organized under Lutheran Church Charities (www.LutheranChurchCharities.org).  All items will be shipped in sea containers and received by nine Lutheran pastors in Haiti for distribution to people in need. There is a poster listing the items requested and collection boxes for these items located in the church Concourse.

Accepted items are: bottled water, canned food with pop tops, peanut butter, dry rice, dry beans, dishwashing liquid, bedding (sheets, pillows, etc.), shovels, tools for rebuilding, buckets, antibacterial ointment, washcloths, soap, deodorant, individual packets of disinfectant wipes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, band-aids, first aid ointment, baby food, baby bottles, tents. Only the items listed can be accepted because of need and space limitations in the shipping containers. Items will be collected through February.
