I will sing to the Lord all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
May my meditation be pleasing to him,
as I rejoice in the Lord.
   Psalm 104:33-34

How can YOU share in our Music Ministries this fall???

I hope that some of you music lovers who have never quite gotten around to joining one of the groups listed below will make this year your year!  Please prayerfully consider the following opportunities.  We would love to have you on our team!

Please let me know if you are interested in (or would like more information about) any of the following ways to serve.

SENIOR CHOIR
– for men and women high school age and older.  We rehearse and sing music of a variety of styles on a weekly basis (Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:00pm).  It is not necessary to be able to read music.  If you like to sing, please contact me to find out how you might take part in this group.

JUNIOR CHOIR
– for boys and girls in the 3rd – 6th grades. This group of kids has fun singing together on Wednesday afternoons from 4:15-5:00pm with a snack/social time during the last few minutes of each rehearsal. We learn new music as well as sing together many familiar songs. This choir is a wonderful place for kids to learn Christian songs in a supportive and friendly atmosphere.  Rehearsals will begin on Wednesday, September 15.

CHIME CHOIR
- for 4th - 8th graders.  This group meets for a period of 6-7 weeks before playing something for church.  Our rehearsals have typically been from 5:00-5:45 on Wednesday afternoons, conveniently scheduled immediately following Junior Choir for any of you who would enjoy being a part of both groups.  However, we are open to other ideas for rehearsal times.  Please let me know if you might be interested in playing in this group sometime this fall.

BELL CHOIR
– Our adult bell choir rings on five octaves of handbells.  This summer our handbells were refurbished at the Schulmerich factory.  We are looking forward to playing on bells that seem brand new!  We typically ring Level 3 and 4 music, and we rehearse on Tuesday evenings.  Please contact me by September 5 if you have interest in this group.

INSTRUMENTALISTS
– There will continue to be opportunities for various instrumentalists to offer special music for various parts of our services.  Please let me know what instrument you play!

MEN’S CHORUS/ WOMEN’S CHORUS

Periodically we put together a group to sing for specific Sunday services.  This is a wonderful opportunity for those who cannot make a regular commitment to a particular group to join with friends to sing.  If you have any interest in being a part of a men’s or a women’s chorus sometime this fall, please drop me a line via email or leave me a voicemail message (ext. 17)

PRAISE TEAMS
- consist of vocalists and instrumentalists, high school age and older, who lead the music in the contemporary services.  Each week there is a 45-minute rehearsal prior to the service.  One Friday evening per month, this group meets for a light supper and rehearsal.  Please contact Elizabeth Macklen for more details.

SOUND EQUIPMENT CREW
is a group of volunteers, high school age or older, who run the sound equipment during our Sunday services.  We are in need of help for both the traditional and the contemporary services.  Any necessary training will be provided.  Please contact Rich Hoffarth (rhoffarth2000@yahoo.com or 746-6516) if you have interest in serving in this way.

We  look forward making music with you this fall!
