TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY
Our Tuesday morning Bible study, led by Marvin and Lois Jacob, will examine the book of Hebrews. We will find the “Why, Who and When” of this interesting book. We will examine the author’s important explanation of “FAITH.”
Please join us every other Tuesday morning at 10 AM beginning on September 14. We meet in the Community Room and even enjoy a snack with coffee which lets us get better acquainted with each other. Bring a friend, your Bible, and a smile.
JONATHAN OZIMEK MEMORIAL BLOOD DRIVE Saturday, September 18, 2010 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM in the Church Auditorium
Jon Ozimek courageously fought cancer for nine years. Blood and platelet transfusions (172 units) were his lifeline. Celebrate his life on Saturday, September 18 by giving blood..and save the life of someone in your community with your gift. Call 1-800-448-3543 or visit www.givelife.org to schedule an appointment to donate. MEN’S SATURDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY
We have selected the Gospel of Luke for our next venture into the life of our Savior as he walked as a mortal on this earth. View the Gospel written from Luke’s Gentile view the many of Jesus’ works not found in the other gospels. Jesus’ birth, many of His teachings and parables are included in Luke’s text. It is not surprising that there is such a parallel between the writings of Luke and Paul.
The men’s Saturday morning Bible study will begin its series of studies of the Gospel of Luke on September 18 in Room 204 in the church’s facility. We usually meet twice each month and begin with a continental breakfast at 8:30 AM. An invitation is extended to all men of the congregation to join the group. We also encourage outreach to the Penfield area unchurched men to join with us exploring Luke’s writing. What better way is there to witness to the community?
To join the group or obtain further information, phone Norman Zurell at 381-6987 or email nzurell@rochester.rr.com.
