Jr FLY...
is a fellowship for our 7th and 8th grade students. It includes Sunday morning Bible studies, servant events, fellowship events, retreats, and Flower City Work Camp.
Confirmation Classes...
are a pastoral and educational ministry of our congregation that helps students identify more deeply with their Christian community, our Lutheran heritage, and the mission of God’s church. Lutheran doctrine, family and relationships and responsible behavior as a Christians are part of this two-year program usually taken by our 7th and 8th graders.
Sr FLY...
is a fellowship for our high school students. The program is similar to the JrFLY in that it includes Sunday studies, servant and fellowship events, retreats, Flower City Work Camp, and summer work camp.
Work Camps provide the opportunity for adults and teens to help do home repairs for people who cannot do them on their own. Flower City Work Camp takes place right here in Rochester with a hope "That The City Might See Jesus." Summer work camp involves traveling to another part of the country (West Virginia in 2009) and involves youth groups from all over the country. Nightly programs, including worship and speakers, are also part of these experiences.
Sunday School...
classes provide a time of focused Christian Education at 9:45 each Sunday morning during the school year. Classes are centered in Christ and call youth to growth in faith. Classes explore issues and topics relevant to today's youth and seek to understand the relevance of Christ for teens amidst a seemingly secular world.
Regular commitment to a Sunday class is essential to continuing growth in the Christian life.
Vacation Bible School...
provides an exciting opportunity for children the third week in July. Jr FLY youth have an opportunity to participate in a class geared towards them, which also includes a service project. Sr FLY youth are encouraged to be helpers to VBS adult leaders during this week.
